Hellbeast v2 Maya, Photoshop, ZBrush July 2009
Creature design named Hellbeast. First i sculpted the zbrush model from zsphere + retop with NEX then i rendered a few passes in Maya of the pose model to comp them all together in Photoshop. Once this stuff was set up i started to paint the skin color, horns etc. Mixed of handpainting and photos.
The goal here was just to find a good look for this creature design hence the overpaint in photoshot. This is a faster process then to actually create real textures to render it in maya. Here i have full freedom on the look i want to achieve with a real-time "rendering" quality.
